Howard Luke Papers, 1916 - ca. 1980s.

The Howard Luke Papers consist of photographs and photocopied images. Subjects include a parade and dog sled races celebrating the Anchorage Fur Rendezvous and Ice Carnival, the Fairbanks Winter Carnival and North American Championship Dog Sled Race, an Alaska Native potlatch, Alaska Native dancers and drummers, and a 1989 trip to Russia. Also included are images of Howard Luke and others building dog sleds, fish wheels, and other hand-made wooden items, as well as images of Chena, Alaska and of Chena Athabascan Indians.
